Heise Family && {Jax Children's Apparel}

I always love meeting new clients. Everyone has a story to tell and I am always eager to listen. The Heise family's story of their son Jaxson just completely stole my heart. Partly for what had happened, and partly because I could see & feel Allison's passion towards her family and for awareness. I have always been a very compassionate person, and me being a young mom too, I easily knew I too could be on the very same road her family had went on. That night, I prayed for them. And for what Allison was doing....Jax Children's Apparel.

Here is her story which can also be read on her page:

"Jax Children's Apparel was inspired by my son, Jaxson, who was diagnosed with severe hearing loss a month before his 2nd birthday. Despite this, Jaxson shows such a love and passion for music! All of the designs are based on his favorite songs!

We suspected there might be a problem with Jaxson's hearing when he was around 1. He was not starting to talk or babble like most one year olds and hewould not respond to his name, especially if his back was turned. We had several hearing tests done & it wasn't until his 3rd test that we realized there may really be a big problem. We were referred to Arkansas Children's Hospital and that's where the doctors told us that he had severe hearing loss in both ears. We had no idea how long he had gone without being able to hear or what caused it. On the 2 hour ride home, my husband and I were overwhelmed with information, but at the same time felt like we had no clue what to do next. All we knew was that Jaxson needed hearing aids. I immediately called my insurance to make sure hearing aids were covered under my plan. Shockingly, they weren't. And I was told that most health insurance companies do not cover hearing aids at all, even for babies/toddlers!! We then began searching the internet for any kind of grant or assistance that could help us with his rising medical expenses. To my surprise, there really wasn't a lot out there that could help us.

My hope for Jax is that it can help raise awareness of childhood hearing loss and help those children affected by hearing loss. For every shirt sold, a percentage of the profits will be donated to the Hear Now Foundation! No child should ever have to live without being able to hear the sweet sound of music!"

She has a Facebook page set up here
She also has an Etsy shop here.

I know she would forever be grateful if you guys would go check out the pages and share with friends. You may not feel led or be able to give but this would be a chance to spread awareness.
